LEMON FESTIVAL
The Inland Empire is booming with spring events. Many towns had festivals and outdoor events this weekend. This is the beginning of great warm weather out here and everyone is looking for something to do outdoors. Today I’m bringing a taste of the Upland Lemon Festival. I met merchants, ate, and patted lots of 4 legged friends.
Like many other festivals this one has the general things like a ferris wheel, and other rides for the kids. Also there are plenty coin games, food, and merchants. This brings me to what I would like write about. Our wonderful and unique merchants were here in full force showing off and sharing their talents with our community. I will present my favorites since there were so many to mention. However, this will give you a chance to see what comes out of the Inland Empire when given a chance to shine.
Carved Signs
First off my eyes were attracted to a booth decorated with wooden signs. I found out from the owners that they come from Yosemite and they don’t have a website, the only way to reach them is to meet them in person from events they attend like this festival or at Yosemite. Look for them when you go to a festival or a Fair like the Pomona Fair. They custom make the signs. These are the guys to look for when you want to give your house the touch of nature.
Custom Designed Diva Dells
Ms. Valerie Johnson makes these beautiful hats and accessories that are so unique it would take you back. The items that she brought are something I have never seen before. You have to check this out and contact her if you see something you like. (951)776-8202. Ms. Johnson is a Design Specialist from Riverside and Temecula. Don’t forget to support our small business.
Country Lambs
Ron and Ruby Lamb have brought their rare wooden craft items. I can’t say enough about how cute and useful these crafts are. They make them themselves and bring them to festivals. Look at all they have. If you see something you like and want to get in touch with them call (951)687-1151. They are in Riverside, so they are local merchants. Check out these great things.
Besides the local merchants, there were quite a few organized businesses. Avon was here represented by Susan Stewart who will be very happy to show you what’s new with the Avon products. She is also a local merchant and you can reach her at (909)947-9028. Another organized business is Origami Owl Custom Jewelry. There are lots of cute and affordable charms. You can also start your own business with them. If you are interested call Julie Lobos at (909)559-5279. She can set you up.
There are many different things you can find at the festival. One very nice surprise is the way our four legged friends are welcomed. I saw all kinds of pups, different colors and size. It was nice to see how well behaved they are. I have to share a few of the cuties I saw.
