The Inland Empire
is home to Norco, Horse Town USA. I drive through Norco once a week and it’s fascinating watching all the horse riders going around town. There are adults and children of all sizes and ages on horses. The cowboy boots and western attire makes you realize you are in a special place. Norco became a charter city in 2003 for the express purpose of protecting and preserving animal keeping rights (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norco,_California) Norco Animal Rescue Team was founded to house animals, mainly horses, displaced by fires and other natural disasters in the Inland Empire.
There are no sidewalks in Norco, just horse trails. If you want to come and ride a horse you can get a riding adventure from Western Trails Horseback Riding they offer horse rentals and trail riding. Its very reasonable and lots of fun for the whole family. Check out their site.
People ride their horses up and down Norco. They go shopping, eating, and just riding anywhere and find a place to rest their horse. Every shopping center, restaurant, and hang-out place has a corral to hitch your horse while you are there.
Come on down to Norco for a nice horseback ride, shopping, or to have lunch and enjoy the view. Visit Norco City Website for more information regarding upcoming events.
